Changi Airport isn’t just a place for transit or waiting for flights—it’s a tourist destination in its own right!
With indoor gardens, stunning architecture, and even the world’s largest indoor waterfall, there are countless beautiful spots for taking photos. Every corner of Changi offers a unique backdrop, perfect for adding a touch of beauty to your social media feeds.
Here are eight of the best spots for photos at Changi Airport:
The first and one of the most popular spots is the Rain Vortex at Jewel. This impressive indoor waterfall has become a Singapore icon, and it’s almost a must-see if you’re in town.
Standing at around 40 meters (130ft), it’s the tallest indoor waterfall in the world! You can snap photos in front of it or in the nearby garden area. The best time is in the evening when the light show creates an extra touch of magic.
Since it’s such a popular spot, it can be challenging to get a photo without a crowd.
The waterfall starts flowing at 11 a.m., so try to get there early for a quieter experience. My husband and I once arrived early in the morning after a 6 a.m. Singapore Airlines flight, and it was surprisingly fun!
If you’re up for more, head up to the 5th floor of Jewel, where additional attractions are available. Many ticket packages include access to the Canopy Bridge, giving you the chance to snap some unique photos of the waterfall from above!

Another stunning photo spot is the Butterfly Garden. This tropical haven is home to over 40 butterfly species, surrounded by lush plants and gentle artificial waterfalls. It’s a great place to snap photos while being surrounded by colorful butterflies!
The garden also has an “education corner” with information on the butterflies you’ll see, making it perfect for a fun learning experience, especially if you’re with kids.
You’ll find plenty of photo-worthy spots here, like near the waterfall or among the butterflies themselves.
Location: Terminal 3 Transit Area, Level 2 and 3
This one’s my personal favorite! Dreamscape is a beautiful blend of nature and digital displays, with around 20,000 plants from 100 species, including rare types like the Pesuderanthemum “splash” and Begonia blancii.
One of the coolest features here is the “digital sky,” which changes based on the real-time weather outside. It can even transform into creative scenes like fish or boats floating across the ceiling. Plus, the garden floor is made of glass, allowing you to see fish swimming beneath your feet!
Dreamscape is definitely a unique spot to capture some memorable photos, especially if you’re passing through Changi Airport on your way to another destination.
Location: Terminal 2 Transit Area, Level 2
This unique rooftop garden at Changi Airport is a refreshing spot with over 100 types of cacti and succulents from around the world.
It’s exciting to find an outdoor garden in an airport that offers a breezy, open-air experience for snapping photos among the cacti!
Keep in mind, though, this area also serves as a smoking zone, so you might see people smoking here. If you visit at night, the Cactus Garden becomes even livelier, as a bar opens, letting you enjoy a drink while taking photos.
Location: Terminal 1 Transit Area, Level 3
For flower lovers, the Sunflower Garden is a must-visit photo spot! This garden is full of vibrant sunflowers that make for bright and cheerful photos. If you can, visit in the morning or afternoon to capture the best natural light.
Location: Terminal 2 Transit Area, Level 3
Another favorite, the Enchanted Garden is like a scene from a fairy tale! With over 1,000 tropical plants, this garden features interactive sensors that respond to your movements, lighting up beautifully as you explore.
There’s also a small pond with fish swimming beneath a charming bridge, surrounded by lush plants—perfect for taking magical photos.
Location: Terminal 2 Transit Area, Level 2
The Wonderfall is one of Changi Airport’s hidden gems. This small waterfall in the transit area has a calm, relaxing vibe (though you’ll often see tourists snapping photos here too!).
While not as grand as the Rain Vortex, it’s still a beautiful spot for photos. With green tropical plants all around, photos here have a fresh, nature-filled atmosphere different from other airport areas.
Location: T2 Public Level 2
Although more of an attraction and with an entry fee, Canopy Park on the top floor of Jewel is a fun spot with plenty to explore. Here, you’ll find areas like the Hedge Maze, Mirror Maze, Discovery Slides, and the Petal Garden.
This vibrant and colorful park is perfect for photos and offers plenty of activities to enjoy, especially if you’re traveling with family or friends and have a long layover.
For unique shots, try the Walking Net or take in the view from the Canopy Bridge.
Remember, access to Canopy Park requires a ticket, so be sure to plan your budget if you’d like to enjoy all the attractions here.
