Beyond The Vines has finally announced its latest collaboration with Toyo Steel, the Japanese toolbox maker that has been crafting steel boxes since 1969. This limited-edition collection is said to be a one-run-only release, dropping on Friday, 7 August 2026 at 12pm Singapore time.
According to BTV, this collaboration has been years in the making. The concept takes the philosophy of a toolbox, known for its function and durability, and translates it into bags, ready-to-wear, and accessories with BTV's signature playful touch.
The centrepiece of this collection is the Toyo Steel T-320 Toolbox, a genuine steel toolbox made specifically for this collaboration. The interior features a canvas-and-leather organiser with colour-coded compartments in red, yellow, and blue, so you can sort your belongings neatly.
The toolbox also comes with a leather handle cover and BTV's wordmark screen-printed around its surface. It stays fairly compact at 9.65cm tall and 33.3cm wide, so it's still practical to carry despite being made of steel.
It's priced at SGD 69, and online purchases come with a complimentary personalised leather tag featuring two hot-stamped silver initials.
Beyond the toolbox itself, BTV also introduces the Leather Canvas Carryall, a bag line whose structure directly mirrors a toolbox. You can spot it in the exterior pockets that resemble toolbox compartments, complete with leather trim and a red-striped webbing accent.
The line comes in two sizes, the Carryall 0.5 at SGD 79 and the larger Carryall 1.5 at SGD 99, both crafted from washed canvas with recycled leather details and available in three matching colourways: Tonal Washed Brown, Tonal Washed Navy, and Tonal Washed Black.
The Carryall 1.5 in particular bears an uncanny resemblance to the toolbox itself, sharing the same east-west shape. Some variants also come with an adjustable shoulder strap, zipper closure, and an embossed BTV leather label on the front.
The bag looks versatile enough for different everyday moments, from bookstore visits and casual bike rides to dinner outings and airport travel!
The collection also includes a Mini Tools Charm Set, an adorable bag charm shaped like a wrench, hammer, and ruler. There's also a Leather Canvas Logo Cap in Natural Colourblock to round out the look.
For ready-to-wear, BTV offers a workwear-inspired capsule ranging from SGD 59 to SGD 119. This includes a Panelled Overshirt, a Long-Sleeve T-Shirt, a Contrast Stitched Relaxed Organic Cotton T-Shirt, a Belt Detail Jumpsuit, and a Boxy Jersey Short Sleeve Overshirt. Broadly, cotton tees are priced at SGD 59, overshirts at SGD 109, and overalls or jumpsuits at SGD 119.
Since this collection is limited-edition and produced only once, the standout pieces will likely sell out fast once they drop. All products launch on 7 August at noon.
The toolbox itself will be available exclusively at the Beyond The Vines Design Store, B1-42/46 Takashimaya Shopping Centre, 391 Orchard Road, and on beyondthevines.com. The Leather Canvas and Ready-To-Wear collections, meanwhile, will be available across all BTV stores and the website.
