One of the must-visit shopping spots in Singapore is Lucky Plaza. Located in the Orchard area, this mall is well-known for offering more affordable prices compared to the luxury malls nearby.
If you’re hunting for Singaporean souvenirs like keychains, t-shirts, or chocolates at reasonable prices, Lucky Plaza is the place to go. Many stores here sell these items at competitive prices.
Aside from shopping, Lucky Plaza is also a popular food destination, especially for Southeast Asian dishes, with a strong focus on Filipino cuisine. This is why it's a favorite spot for the Filipino community in Singapore.
Since it’s located on Orchard Road, getting to Lucky Plaza by public transportation is really easy, especially by MRT or bus. In this guide, I'll show you how to get to Lucky Plaza by MRT.
Orchard MRT Station is accessible via two MRT lines: the North-South Line (red line) and the Thomson-East Coast Line (brown line).
If you're coming via the Thomson-East Coast Line, you'll need to walk a bit to get to the part of Orchard Station that serves the North-South Line (NSL), which is the closest to Lucky Plaza.
Just follow the signs directing you to Exit 1 or the NSL. Once you reach Orchard NSL station, take the escalator up to the exit gate. Use your EZ-Link card or other payment card to tap out, and you're almost there!
After tapping out at the gate, follow the signs leading to Exit 1. Once you’ve passed Exit 1, continue walking through the shops in the ION Orchard Link until you reach the escalator at the end of the shops.
To avoid any confusion, make sure you take the escalator at the very end, where you’ll see signs for Tang Plaza and Lucky Plaza. Many visitors accidentally take the stairs before reaching the correct escalator, so be careful to avoid that.
After taking the escalator, you’ll find yourself in front of Tang Plaza. From here, simply turn around and head towards Lucky Plaza. It’s just a short walk, about a minute away.
Now, you’ve arrived at Lucky Plaza! You can enter through the main entrance or use the side door near the parking exit.
Lucky Plaza is right next to Paragon Shopping Center, so you can also use this same route to get there. The distance is just a minute’s walk from Lucky Plaza.
For convenience, there’s also an underpass from Takashimaya to Lucky Plaza. So, if you're at Takashimaya or Ngee Ann City, you can use the underpass to reach Lucky Plaza and vice versa.
