You can buy Whoosh express train tickets online or offline. If you buy them online, you’ll automatically get a digital ticket that can be saved on your smartphone.
The digital ticket can be scanned directly at the station’s entrance or exit gate, which makes it super convenient. But for some people, it feels incomplete without a physical ticket.
This makes sense since Whoosh’s physical tickets are quite different from regular train tickets. If it’s your first time riding Whoosh, you might want to keep the ticket as a memento.
The good news is, even if you bought your ticket online, you can still exchange it for a physical ticket. You can do this either at the customer service desk or by using the ticket machine at the station.
In this guide, I’ll walk you through the steps to print your digital ticket into a physical one using the station’s ticket machine. Follow these steps:
First, head to the ticket machine, usually located in the station’s lobby or near the customer service desk. These machines aren’t just for buying tickets—they can also be used to print them.
Once you’re at the machine, select your preferred language. The default language is Indonesian, but you can switch it to English or Chinese if needed.
After choosing your language, select the Internet Ticket Capture option. Next, choose the type of ID you used to book the ticket. If you used your ID card, select Identity Card. If you used your passport, select Passport.
Then, enter the name exactly as it appears on your ID. Press Confirm once you’re done, and then enter your ID card or passport number. Press Confirm again to proceed.
Once your details are entered, the machine will show your booking information along with your travel details. Double-check everything to make sure it’s all correct.
If everything looks good, press the Print button in the bottom-right corner of the screen. Your ticket will be printed and can be collected from the slot labeled Ticket.
That’s it! You’ve successfully printed your Whoosh ticket. Keep the ticket safe, as you’ll need it to pass through the entrance and exit gates at the station. Enjoy your trip!
