Osaka was one of the six cities my husband and I visited during our trip to Japan. It’s a popular city among tourists because of its many attractions and landmarks, like the Glico Man Sign in Dotonbori, the 10-yen Cheese Coin, and Osaka Castle.
We stayed in Osaka for three days and two nights. In this review, I will share my experience staying at the hotel. Let’s get started!
MYSTAYS Sakaisuji Honmachi Hotel is located at 1 Chome-4-8 Awajimachi, Chuo Ward, Osaka, 541-0047, Japan. The location is very convenient because it is in the center of Osaka city.
There are four train stations and a subway station within 15 minutes of the hotel, making it easy to travel anywhere. The closest station, Sakaisuji-Hommachi Station, is only about a 5-minute walk away.
The hotel is also easy to reach from other key locations: 30 minutes from Shin-Osaka Station, 12 minutes from Osaka Station, and less than an hour from Kansai International Airport.
We booked the room through the hotel’s official website. The price per night was quite affordable, especially for a hotel in the center of Osaka. It’s also cheaper compared to other hotels of the same standard.
Since we booked in advance, we got a good discount. I recommend booking early because it’s usually cheaper, and some hotels offer special prices.
We stayed in the Apartment Queen room, which is 17m² in size, for ¥23,084 for three nights.
In my experience, hotels in Japan usually don’t include daily cleaning. However, this hotel offers daily cleaning for an additional cost. The price depends on the hotel’s policy.
If you need daily cleaning, you can ask for it, but keep in mind that it will be an extra fee.
Since we chose the apartment-type room, the facilities provided were very comprehensive. In addition to standard amenities typically found in hotel rooms, this type includes a microwave and a mini kitchen, making it ideal for family vacations, especially for those traveling with young children.
As mentioned earlier, the room also has other standard facilities like a television, working desk, hair dryer, and more.
One unique feature is the pants presser, a tool designed to neatly iron and crease pants without using a regular iron. It's especially useful for maintaining professional or formal attire.
Another notable facility is the air purifier and dehumidifier, which helps improve air quality and prevents the room from becoming damp. A
dditionally, the room includes a pouch with a charging cable that features multiple USB connectors, so you can charge various devices conveniently.
Japanese hotel bathrooms never disappoint me. They are always clean, with a minimalist yet highly functional design.
Essential amenities like soap, shampoo, conditioner, and hand soap are readily available and well-stocked. The highlight for me is the bathtub—a perfect way to unwind after a long day of exploring, allowing you to soak in warm water and relax.
Despite the compact size of this hotel, ranging from 15-17m², the facilities are more than sufficient for a comfortable stay. With an average nightly rate of around ¥8000, we found it to be a convenient and budget-friendly option without sacrificing comfort.
If you're searching for a centrally located hotel in Osaka that offers complete facilities and a spotless environment, MYSTAYS Sakaisuji Honmachi is definitely worth considering.
