Polène, the French leather goods brand that has become a fixture on fashion social media, has opened its first Singapore boutique. The store sits inside The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, marking the brand's sixth address in Asia after earlier openings in Tokyo, Osaka, Seoul, and Beijing.
The opening comes as part of Polène's rapid push across the region. Just last July, the brand opened three new stores across Japan and Singapore in quick succession, though CEO and co-founder Antoine Mothay has said this pace isn't the new normal, just a case of timing lining up.

Unlike a standard rollout, each Polène boutique is designed around the city it's in rather than a fixed template. For Marina Bay Sands, that meant looking back at the fishing huts that once lined Singapore's coastline before land reclamation reshaped the shore.
That idea comes through most clearly overhead. Leather panels are suspended to form a canopy, handwoven from full-grain leather and letting light filter through in uneven patches. Parts of the weave even echo the lines of the Solé bag, one of Polène's signature designs.
Each panel is handmade from Italian leather, taking close to three hours to complete. Below the canopy, the palette shifts. Pale flooring meets dark walnut furniture cut into sharp, sculptural lines, including a modular central table that appears to hover just above the floor.
The boutique spans roughly 100 square metres on the first floor of The Shoppes, neighbouring brands like Roger Vivier, Chanel, and Akhah.
One of the store's standout features is an installation called "Craft at Work, A Puzzle of Leather," which shows visitors the first steps behind making the Mokki bag. A machine built specifically for this boutique cuts the 36 individual leather pieces that are later hand-assembled into the finished bag.
If you've ever wondered what goes into a Polène bag beyond what you see on social media, this is the closest you'll get to watching it happen in person.
The store has been officially open since late July 2026, right on track with Polène's earlier target of a third-quarter 2026 opening.
Pricing is expected to match what's listed on Polène's official online store. Whether you've had your eye on the brand for a while or just discovered it, it's worth stopping by Marina Bay Sands to see the collection in person.
