Snow City, Singapore's first indoor snow attraction, will shut its doors for good on 30 September 2026. The announcement marks the end of a 26 year run for a spot that has been a go to destination for families and school groups since it opened in 2000, offering a taste of winter without ever leaving the tropics.

The Science Centre Board (SCB), which operates the attraction, said the closure reflects its commitment to keeping its offerings fresh and relevant amid shifting visitor interests and an evolving attractions landscape. The decision also aligns with SCB's broader science education mission and its long term development plans.

The Snow City building sits within the wider Science Centre Singapore precinct, which is set to relocate to a new site near Chinese Garden MRT. The current Jurong East building will eventually be redeveloped, and Snow City does not have a spot in the new masterplan.

A Farewell Campaign Called One Last Snowfall

Before the final curtain call, Snow City is inviting the public to say goodbye through a campaign called One Last Snowfall, running from June through September 2026. Throughout this period, visitors can look forward to limited time experiences and promotions as a thank you for the memories built over the decades.

One of the highlights is the Snow Play package, priced at SGD 19 for adults and SGD 16 for children, about 30 percent off the usual rates. Every ticket includes a one hour snow play session plus one ride on the ice bumper cars.

Beyond ticket discounts, Snow City is also holding a winterwear sale, with brand new jackets and boots going for just 10 Singapore dollars each. TY plushies from the souvenir shop are getting discounted too, though the exact markdown has not yet been revealed.

Visit Before the Snow Stops Falling for Good

Whether you grew up with Snow City or have never stepped inside, September 2026 is your last chance to experience it. The attraction is open daily except Mondays, from 10am to 5pm on weekdays and until 6pm on weekends. It is located at 21 Jurong Town Hall Road, about a 10 minute walk from Jurong East MRT.

Book your tickets early, especially if you are planning a weekend or school holiday visit, as queues are expected to grow busier as the closing date approaches.
