7 Cool Attractions to Try in Jewel Changi Airport

Written by Syfa

In a previous article, I explored various must-see attractions in Singapore, and one of them is the Jewel Changi. Jewel Changi Airport has become a major attraction for both locals and tourists from around the world, garnering plenty of attention.

But Jewel Changi Airport isn't just Singapore's main gateway; it also offers a thrilling shopping and entertainment experience! One of its main highlights is the selection of attractions and games available for visitors to enjoy.

Many people flock here to either try out the games or simply indulge in some window shopping. My husband and I were included! So, we made sure to include Jewel Changi Airport in our itinerary on the first day of our Singapore adventure.

The games piqued my curiosity, as I noticed tourists from other countries getting excited about them too (at least, that's what I saw on YouTube, haha!). So, if you're someone who loves trying new games and is on the lookout for a unique experience, I highly recommend a visit to Jewel Changi Airport.

Attractions Admission Tickets

Ticketing

Admission prices for the games at Jewel Changi Airport vary depending on the chosen game. With most games offering affordable admission prices, it's the perfect destination for travelers looking to have a fun experience without spending too much.

For instance, admission to Canopy Park starts at SGD 8 for both children and adults. Meanwhile, admission to Mirror Maze and Hedge Maze ranges from SGD 13.90 to 18.90. Admission to Bouncing Net starts at SGD 24.90 for adults and SGD 19.90 for children.

Visitors can purchase tickets directly at the Jewel attraction area through the ticket booth at the gate or via self-ticketing machines. But I think these options may be more expensive.

Alternatively, tickets can be purchased online through Jewel Changi Airport's official website or via apps that officially partner with Jewel Changi. My husband and I bought our tickets online through the Traveloka Apps.

After comparing the ticket price, we decided to buy the Jewel Changi Airport Attractions 4-in-1 Walking Net Bundle ticket, as it was more cost-effective than purchasing individual tickets. The bundle includes the Canopy Bridge, Hedge Maze, Mirror Maze, Walking Net, and free access to Canopy Park.

By purchasing tickets online, we saved time and avoided long queues. Therefore, if you plan to visit Jewel Changi Airport, ensure you stay updated on admission prices and devise the right game plan to maximize your experience and make your ticket purchase worthwhile.

As mentioned earlier, we chose the 4-in-1 bundle package, which includes the Hedge Maze, Mirror Maze, Walking Net, Canopy Bridge, and complimentary access to Canopy Park. All attractions at Jewel Changi Airport are located on the 5th floor and operate from 10 AM to 10 PM.

Upon clearing the immigration area, head straight to Jewel. If you land at Terminal 1, you can directly access Jewel. If you arrive at Terminals 2 or 3, reach Jewel via the Link Bridge.

For those landing at Terminal 4, a free shuttle bus service to Jewel is available. Once at Jewel, proceed to the 5th floor to enjoy the various attractions in Canopy Park and its surroundings.

Before trying the games, consider the following tips:

  • Wear comfortable clothes: Avoid wearing skirts or dresses. Choose some pants made of soft, flexible material instead.
  • Wear comfortable shoes: choose sneakers or running shoes for better cushioning and support during extended periods of walking or trying multiple games.

So, here are the games that we tried. Let's get started!

Canopy Park is an incredibly popular spot at Jewel Changi Airport. This verdant park, situated atop the Changi Airport building, offers a range of exciting games and activities suitable for everyone, from families to solo travelers.

This place serves as the central hub for most of Jewel's games. It comprises several thrilling areas, such as the Canopy Bridge, Discovery Slides, and Foggy Bowls.

As our bundle already gave us free access to Canopy Park, we automatically had access to the Discovery Slides and Foggy Bowls. While the Canopy Bridge required an additional fee, it was well worth the cost.

You'll find all sorts of plants, huge topiary, and water features in the Topiary Walk and Petal Garden areas. Plus, the views are stunning, and the air is nice and cool, no need to worry about the boiling weather of Singapore.

Canopy Park is an awesome spot for everyone, no matter your age, with loads of cool attractions and activities to enjoy.

The Hedge Maze, an attraction composed of over 1,000 shrubs, presents visitors with the intriguing challenge of finding their way out. As you navigate the twisting and branching paths, you can appreciate the beauty and tranquility of the surrounding park.

My husband and I love this place because the concept is unique, making it more fun to try. The Hedge Maze also features an automatic sensor system that, when activated by passing through the bushes, brings up flowers appearing simultaneously from within the shrubbery. This interactive element adds to the excitement and fun of the maze.

Canopy Park's Hedge Maze is equipped with a night lighting system, allowing visitors to enjoy the challenge after dark. Additionally, the maze offers a unique backdrop for taking memorable photos. Be cautious, though – you wouldn't want to get lost!

For those seeking a unique and entertaining activity at Jewel Changi Airport, the Hedge Maze is an ideal spot to test your skills and enjoy some leisure time.

Admission to the Hedge Maze costs SGD 13.90 for adults and SGD 11.90 for children. Be sure to include the Hedge Maze in your Canopy Park visit!

3. Mirror Maze

The Mirror Maze is a fascinating attraction for fans of visual effects. Using mirrors to create illusions, the maze challenges visitors to find their way out.

Inside the Mirror Maze, you may feel disoriented as you encounter numerous dead ends and difficult exits. The mirrors reflect your image, causing confusion and making you feel like you're going in circles.

But don't worry! Visitors are provided with a colorful 'stick' to help distinguish between passable paths and glass surfaces, preventing any collisions.

We truly had an amazing time here. The Mirror Maze is not only entertaining but also serves as an interesting location for selfies or photos with a unique mirrored background.

4. Foggy Bowl

At the Foggy Bowl, a free attraction in Canopy Park, you'll find a unique experience of walking through a foggy, green space. It's like strolling on clouds as you wander around the grassy meadow surrounded by thick fog. The fog comes from the bowl-shaped grass, creating a cool effect.

But the fog isn't constantly appearing, so you'll need to wait a few minutes between each appearance. You'll see lots of families chilling around the Foggy Bowl and the park. With gorgeous views, vibrant plants, and colorful flowers, it's the perfect spot to kick back in a comfy chair and soak up the fresh, garden vibes.

The Foggy Bowl's picturesque scenery, lush greenery, and beautiful flowers make it an ideal place for visitors to unwind in the provided chairs and enjoy the cool, refreshing garden atmosphere.

5. Discovery Slides

Discovery SLides

Next up are the Discovery Slides! Located on the 5th floor of Jewel Changi Airport, these slides offer a variety of thrilling experiences for visitors. There are three types of slides: spiral, wave, and steep slides, each providing a unique and exhilarating sensation.

The spiral slide sends you spinning down a tall spiral, while the wave slide simulates the feeling of sliding on beach waves. The steep slide offers a fast and challenging experience.

Keep in mind that these slides are designed for one person at a time. Unfortunately, when we visited, the area was crowded with children, so we opted to take photos instead. Also, note that the minimum height requirement for children is 110cm.

6. Walking Net

permainan Walking Net

Get ready for an adrenaline-pumping experience with the Walking Net! This thrilling attraction features a large net suspended above Canopy Park's greenery, allowing visitors to walk across it and feel like they're floating above the ground.

Before entering the area, a staff member will check your footwear to ensure it covers your feet completely. If not, they'll provide suitable shoes for you to wear. It's essential to have proper shoes, as the nets have large holes that could snag your feet.

When my husband and I ventured onto the Walking Net, we were surprised to find no support beneath the net – looking down, we saw Jewel Mall directly below us. So, if you're afraid of heights, this might not be for you. However, if you're up for the challenge, give it a shot!

Walking Net

Jewel's Walking Net is constructed with strong and safe steel wire, ensuring visitors feel secure and at ease while walking across it.

The net features various shapes and heights, providing different experiences for guests. And, if you purchase the 4-in-1 bundle ticket, access to the Walking Net is included!

7. Canopy Bridge

So, our Jewel adventure wrapped up at the astonishing Canopy Bridge. It's part of the 4-in-1 bundle, so all we had to do was show our ticket with the barcode to the staff at the entrance.

You should check out the Canopy Bridge at Canopy Park in Jewel Changi Airport when you're in Singapore. With a see-through glass floor and about 50 meters long, this bridge lets you walk high up while soaking in the amazing views of Jewel Changi Airport.

The Canopy Bridge is also the center of some really fun attractions around Canopy Park, like the Petal Garden and Hedge Maze.

This setup lets you spend even more time exploring the beautiful green garden. Besides enjoying Jewel Changi on the glass floor, you can also catch a glimpse of the HSBC Rain Vortex from above.

Starting at 11 am, this world's largest indoor waterfall is seriously impressive. My husband and I just happened to see the waterfall pouring down during our visit

Baggage Storage at Jewel Changi Airport

Before we headed to the attraction area on the 5th floor, we decided to leave our luggage at the Baggage Storage on the 1st floor of the Jewel Store. This helped us avoid the hassle of carrying our suitcases around.

Additionally, the gaming area at Jewel doesn't allow visitors to bring suitcases, so everything has to be stored.

Jewel Baggage Storage, located at Jewel Changi Airport in Singapore, is perfect for travelers who want to play, eat, and relax without having to carry their heavy bags or suitcases.

They offer a variety of storage options, including regular luggage storage, valuables storage, and oversized luggage storage.

With a modern security system in place, including CCTV surveillance and electronic locks, visitors can trust their belongings are safe. Jewel Baggage Storage is open 24/7, allowing access to your items anytime you need them.

This place is also located at Jewel Changi Airport area that is easily accessible. So, visitors can store and take their bags with ease.

An entrance ticket isn't required to use the Jewel Baggage Storage service. The fees for luggage storage are quite affordable and can be customized based on storage time, luggage size, and the type of items you want to store. Since we had small bags, we paid only SGD 10 per luggage.

Before payment, your luggage will be weighed to determine if it's categorized as Loose, Small, Big, or Extra Big. Once that's determined, you'll pay the stated amount using a credit or debit card with a Visa or Mastercard logo, as cash is not accepted.

You'll then be asked to take a photo of a barcode on the Baggage Store's laptop, which will serve as proof when picking up your luggage later. Not only that, make sure not to lose your baggage receipt, as you'll need it to collect your luggage if something happens to your phone.

The entire process was quick, easy, and very convenient. I highly recommend using the luggage storage service if you still have activities to do around Jewel.

These were some of the games we tried at Jewel Changi Airport. My husband and I, so far, believe that Changi is the best airport in the world. It serves not only as a place for transit or airplane transfers but also as a recreational area with fantastic facilities and technology. Which game are you most excited to try?
