When in Singapore, you must visit Gardens by The Bay. It's more than just a park; it's a unique blend of nature and modern technology.

Attractions include the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest (which I will describe later), Supertree Observatory, Active Garden, Children's Garden, World of Plants, and more.

The Children's Garden is especially great for families. It has areas like the Toddler Play Zone for 1-5-year-olds, Rainforest Tree Houses for 6-12-year-olds, and Water Play for 6-12-year-olds.

Kids can enjoy water play, explore the Fish Fountain, swings, sway bridges, balancing activities, and more. These activities are not only fun but also help in developing motor skills, and the best part is, it's free!

For adults or parents, don't miss the Garden Rhapsody. This light show in the Supertrees area features the towering trees lighting up in sync with music. The themes of the show often change, and it's also free.

If you're hungry, head to the Jurassic Nest Food Hall near the Supertrees. You'll find top restaurants listed in the Michelin Guide Singapore, like Nasi Lemak Ayam Taliwang, Bismillah Biryani, Hawker Chan, among others.

Also, catch the Jurassic Nest Show at the Alfresco Area from 11:30am - 8:30pm (hourly) and at the Dining Hall (Indoor) from 12:00pm - 9:00pm (hourly). It's truly a delightful experience for kids!

2. Flower Dome

Next is the Flower Dome, another attraction within the Gardens by The Bay. It's an ideal place for those seeking a cool yet exciting experience.

The Flower Dome is a massive dome-shaped greenhouse, the largest in the world according to the World Guinness Record. It's huge, covering an area equal to 75 Olympic-sized swimming pools, featuring 3,332 glass panels, and can hold up to 1000 visitors!

Inside, you'll see a diverse range of plant species from regions like Mediterranean, Australia, South America, and South Africa.

This includes unique flowers, ancient trees, and rare plants you might not have seen before. The Flower Dome is a fantastic spot for children to learn about different plants from across the globe in an engaging way.

Moreover, the Flower Dome hosts various thematic exhibitions, such as flower festivals. These are not just visually stunning but also educational and relevant to everyday life. To find out about the latest exhibitions at the Flower Dome, you can visit their website.

3. Cloud Forest

Right next to the Flower Dome is the Cloud Forest, another impressive greenhouse conservatory. It's filled with various plants from different parts of the world.

The standout feature here is one of the world's tallest artificial waterfalls, known as The Falls. The environment inside the Cloud Forest is humid and cool, mimicking a tropical rainforest. This means children can enjoy themselves without feeling too hot.

The Cloud Forest is not just fun; it's also an educational experience for kids. It offers child-friendly facilities and is accessible for visitors with limited mobility.

River Wonders, previously known as River Safari, is a zoo that specializes in river ecosystems. Here, children have the opportunity to see and learn about the animals living in major rivers around the world, such as the Amazon, Mekong, and Nile.

The park is extensive, clean, and well-organized, ensuring a thorough exploration for visitors. There's also an interactive experience where guests can engage directly with certain animals which will be announced by staff upon ticket scanning at the entrance.

Additional attractions, including the giant panda exhibit, are also available. In some areas, kids can even touch some of the animals, which is a great way for them to learn and gain confidence. For an in-depth look at River Wonders, be sure to check out the full article we've posted!

5. S.E.A Aquarium

Next, let's talk about the S.E.A Aquarium, one of the largest aquariums in the world! It's like taking a 'dive into the sea' without getting wet.

The aquarium is home to thousands of marine species from a variety of habitats, making it an excellent place for children to learn about life under the sea and different aquatic ecosystems.

Visitors can explore several areas, such as the Shipwreck Habitat, Open Ocean, and Apex Predator of the Sea. One of the highlights is seeing sharks up close, which is both thrilling and fun!. The S.E.A Aquarium is highly recommended for families with children.

6. Exhibit at Art Science Museum

Now, let's head over to the Marina Bay Sands area to visit the Art Science Museum. This museum is unique because it offers immersive and interactive exhibitions.

Instead of just looking, visitors can touch and interact with what's on display. The main themes of these exhibitions are nature, technology, science, and art.

What's exciting about this museum is that the exhibitions change regularly. Some may only last for three months before being replaced by something new. Therefore, it's a good idea to frequently check the museum's official website to see what the latest exhibition is.

For example, my husband and I experienced their Sensory Odyssey: Into the Heart of Our Living World exhibition.

It was an engaging and multisensory exhibition that took us through seven different natural habitats, from Grasslands with dry salt lakes to the Arctic Circle and tropical rainforests.

In each habitat, we were surrounded by unique scents and sound effects specific to that environment. This makes the museum a perfect place for kids to learn in a fun and interactive manner.

7. Marina Barrage

Finally, for those looking to unwind and enjoy a scenic view, Marina Barrage is the perfect spot! Originally a dam, Marina Barrage has been turned into a free recreational area for the public.

It sits on the edge of the 350-meter-wide Marina Channel and is the 15th dam in Singapore, with a drainage area of 10,000 hectares.

At Marina Barrage, you'll see people engaging in various activities like running, jogging, biking, flying kites, and having picnics. It's a great place for both kids and adults to play and relax.

Children can have fun flying kites while parents can lay out a mat and enjoy a cup of coffee. However, it's essential to keep the area clean and always keep an eye on your children. There's also a police team that patrols the area to ensure everyone's safety.

These are the seven child-friendly tourist spots in Singapore. Which one are you most excited to visit with your kids and family?
